Our client is hiring for a FULL TIME Salaried Senior Software Engineer who has strong Azure experience. This person will have some architect type duties as well.

The most important skills and experience the candidate must possess is several years of experience migrating data from on-prem to cloud with Azure, and the amount of data MUST be in the TERABYTES range. Several Terabytes. Only candidates who have done several on-prem to cloud data migrations of this size and magnitude will be considered. Also this person must have been a team lead for at least 6 months in the past, current team lead experience preferred.

Also, dealing with a high level of security due to the personal (health care related) private nature of the data is required. Work within healthcare would be helpful. Finance also.
 

There are 3 large data warehouse systems currently, Oracle and 2 legacy/homegrown DB's that need to be migrated to Azure.

Some of the required skills

• 3 to 5 years’ experience on developing data architectures
• Strong experience across data platforms such as Oracle and SQL
• Hands on technology experience with MOST of the following: Python, spark Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, Delta Lake, Databricks, HDinsight, Synapse, Azure stream Analytics, Azure Event hub, Azure Analysis services, CosmosDB and different Data Modeling tools.
• Strong understanding Azure Cloud databases such as Azure SQL Database, SQL managed instance, SQL Elastic pool on Azure and SQL server.
